No To Zahara The Charity Case

Read Time:3 Minute, 40 Second

The Zahara Problem, Na Big Wahala dey o!

Like most among us, uZahara is breaking under wumthwalo, bakwethu. As a matter of fact, long before encountering recent hardship. Zahara sang about the heavy load on the soul or shoulders. Hold on a bit. We will get back to this matter in a moment. You know a daughter of mine took offence. All because I asked her how much of a vocal phrasing difference there was between…,

Never mind, I’ll find someone like you, by Adele and…,Mthwalo Wam’ Uyang’sinda by Zahara.

Let us do this, switch on your sound satellites. Listen to each of the two horses’ mouths on this voice LINK.

Basically, The Adele song Someone Like You came out in 2011, and at the time of viewing its Youtube video, it was headed to two billion sightings – as it was sitting at 1 886 195 550 views. The Umthwalo hit song came afterwards, on 6 September 2015 and stood at 332 631 youtube views at the time of viewing. The live performance recording version of the song features the Soweto Gospel Choir and some classical music arrangements. All in all, you have Immaculate stuff. As a matter of proud fact, The video should get far more than the 34 482 views it got since posted last February. Proud South Africans, let’s show Zahara some love – watch the full video. Trust me. You will love it.

NO TO ZAHARA, THE CHARITY CASE

Then, about the assemblief tog. Please help with the hardships situation of Zahara…,

Accordingly, the Sbu and TK Nciza chowed my money narrative is noted and should never get swept under the carpet. Eugene Mthethwa once suggested a need for a truth commission in the music industry. Perhaps not only in the music business but also it was best to broaden such a committee in showbiz. Because South African actors are also suffering from internal bleeding, you know.

All things considered, some questions needed asking. Individuals in the performance arts space, including sports personalities, have to answer themselves. Was Zahara honest enough with herself to…,

Let us put this line in cliche speak. Can Zahara take the public into her confidence? Basically, is she in a comfortable space, a mind-frame to reveal ukuthi uyidle kanjani imali yakhe, nobani?

That would be if she enjoyed her money in a squandering way. Accountability comrades in performance arts. Please! Responsibility. Hay’ Kabi Za fans. The idea is not to judge, mock or blame her for her troubles but to help look at the cause of her financial predicament – wholistically. In that way, the problem gets sustainably solved. Acknowledged was the COVID19 lock-down business and how it affected millions of people, not just in the music sector. Hay’ yona is’nyise sibaningi impela. As a result of her hardships, Zahara proposed a music performance arrangement thing with that club edliwa njalo.

Ehe!

The Naturena based squad keep turning into a packet of slaap-chips with almost every local premier league football season. Hopefully, Chincha Guluva’s people don’t come back to Zahara with an…, Ewu’ nathi sisindwa mithwalo yethu yezinkomo ezizele ukuzodlala umbhedo la kwa Kaizer Chiefs.

LET US ENJOY ZAHARA AS A WORKING ARTIST

So, my 2Cents worth is that encouraging Zahara to keep projecting herself as a charity case situation offers not much inspiration if any at all. Now that lock-down things have opened up slightly, she can try to get back to work. How about her making a deal with those who love, enjoy and wish well for her as a person. That is to say, tapping into the hearts of her market in the same way she did when she broke into the spotlight. So, people can pre-pay for tickets to Zahara’s concerts. These could be titled The ZAHARA GIVE LOVE TOUR. It could make stops in Durban, Capetown, PE, Polokwane, East London, Sun City in the North West, Johannesburg and Pretoria. The Give Love Tour has income-generating opportunities and great value for potential sponsors.

The partners could strategically include the same bank said to be out to take her home. All in all, there were more possibilities to this idea, Za. So, let us talk.
