Read Time:3 Minute, 34 Second

Aw’! Wee mma! Iyo! Bangani khumbulani emnandi-yo! Woo Sana! Especially that one ethi come with that sthidititi tididi scat singing. Not to forget…, Iye! It’s adorable, ooh! So sweet juices flow liquorice-lyric that goes..,

“I can spend my time loving you if that’s what you want me to do.”

Aw’ ezingasoze zabuna madoda. Wadijaja mosdan, ane?  If na-be-so. Then, you know BLK Sonshine. They are South African-born Neo Muyanga and US-born Masauko Chipembere – fruits of the once politically exiled Malawian parents. Das right! The duo came together many years ago to mix friendship and music. Eventually, BLK Sonshine became responsible for a lovely hit tune from their 1998 self-titled debut album. Yeah! Baby, recall that acoustic folk-pop delight titled Born in A Taxi. To this day, Born in A Taxi summons some pit-a-pat step, tap-and-snap responses out of in-tune listeners. Yeah! You got that right partner.., The song belongs to a family of South African pop classics.

BLK Sonshine is also widely appreciated for its soul-shining acoustic soother titled Bahlalefi. OOH! Simple soul ballad beauty of a song. Neat music that generates peace within, allowing for self-collection…, Watseba mos, a tune that helps you hore o e mamele ha o le motho. Wabonna mos Aah! Umbhali Forgot.., well, almost. You know.., Born in A Taxi is such a super-thriller song. Na-be-so! Such an evergreen beauty. It is no wonder young brilliant artist Msaki resorted to blessing us with a tear-jerker ballad interpretation.

WELL, BLK SONSHINE IS BACK!

Arha ke, nasi indaba emnandi khulu. Eintlik! There is good news and great news. A delightful report says Masauko and Neo have put a little pause on their solo busyness. First, on the special bulletin.., The duo put, a while back, on their collective music aprons. Then they went on a guitar-vocals stir spree of melodi ko pitseng tse holo (tsa Mahlathini) in Brooklyn, New York studio. So, we await a new and third Blk Sonshine album. Good Life was their second – it came out in 2009.
